Everybody's Welcome

Yes... Everyone.

Really? Why's that?

This is good, and it pleases God our Savior. He wants all people to be saved. He wants them to come to know the truth. - The Bible, 1 Timothy 2.3-4 NIRV

God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not die but will have eternal life. - The Bible, John 3.16 NIRV

What's Your Focus?

To Share “The Gospel” with Our Community.

What’s “The Gospel?”

Typical dictionary definitions say something like “the teaching or revelation of Christ.”

Or, “the record of the life and teachings of Jesus in the first four books of the New Testament.”

A more literal translation of the word written in the original language of the New Testament would be: a “good message or good announcement.”

In simple terms: “good news.”

“The Gospel” was and still is the Bible’s message about people sharing with others the good news about who Jesus is and what he did for us.

Here’s a few  examples found in the Bible:

So I really want to preach the good news also to you…  I want to preach it because I’m not ashamed of the good news. It is God’s power to save everyone who believes.

Romans 1.15-16 NIRV

Brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the good news I preached to you. You received it and have put your faith in it. Because you believed the good news, you are saved. But you must hold firmly to the message I preached to you. If you don’t, you have believed it for nothing.

What I received I passed on to you. And it is the most important of all. Here is what it is. Christ died for our sins, just as Scripture said he would. He was buried. He was raised from the dead on the third day, just as Scripture said he would be.

1 Corinthians 15. 1-4 NIRV

No matter what happens, live in a way that brings honor to the good news about Christ. Then I will know that you remain strong together in the one Spirit… I will know that you work together as one person. I will know that you work to spread the teachings about the good news.

Philippians 1.27 NIRV

We're always happy to answer any questions you may have

about Jesus Christ,

his mission, his motive, and his Gospel.

Based on your experience with religion(s), you may be surprised...

What Are You?

That’s a great question.

We are a non-denominational church.

Many churches today want to be accessible, relational, and centered on following Jesus rather than on specific denominational labels or structures. People often come looking for a place where faith feels real, Scripture is taken seriously, and worship is meaningful.

We’re led locally and shaped by our community, which allows us to respond to real needs in real ways. Our hope is to offer a welcoming church home where people can grow in faith, build real and lasting friendships, and live out the Gospel together—without unnecessary barriers or bureaucracy.

We resemble a “Union” church from the 1800s.

Where rural American believers from different traditions came together to form strong, faithful congregations, focusing more on what they shared in common rather than what divided them.

We believe this can happen again.

We offer a welcoming place for those asking questions about Christianity, a safe space for believers who feel worn out or discouraged, and a localy-led church for folks seeking a Christian community that wants to reach, serve, and love our local community — without the noise and confusion that can sometimes come from an-over-the-top adherance to, and endless fussing about, “rules” not found in the Bible or "doctrines" that over 500 years of talking about has yet to settle.

Union-styled churches still continue this type of witness around the world; proving that Christians from different backgrounds can stand united in the Gospel —especially in places where hardship, hostility, or crisis makes unity not just helpful, but necessary.

So, what are we?

We are a non-denominational, “union” style church that has some of the same core beliefs as the English Baptists dissenters did during the State sanctioned persecutions in the 1600’s which caused folks (think Pilgrims on the Mayflower) to flee to Contential Europe and America for religious freedom.

We broadly agree with the Confessional Statement of The Gospel Coalition.

We fully agree with the Nicene, Athanasion, and Chalcedonian Creeds.

But we passionately agree with, and believe in, the Gospel as revealed in the Bible:

the Good News about Jesus Christ.

Feed My Sheep

A shepherd who refuses to feed sheep would be neglecting his basic duty.

Likewise, a pastor who does not regularly give God’s Word to the local church

is failing in his central responsibility.

A faithful pastor feeds Christ’s flock by giving them the Word of God through

preaching and teaching, instructing the mind and convicting the heart.

The Lord is my shepherd. He gives me everything I need.

He lets me lie down in fields of green grass.

He leads me beside quiet waters. He gives me new strength.

He guides me in the right paths for the honor of his name.

Psalm 23.1-3 NIRV

Jesus went all over Galilee. There he taught in the synagogues. He preached the good news of God’s kingdom.

Matthew 4.23 NIRV

Jesus said (to St. Peter), “Feed my lambs.”

Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”

Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.

John 21.15, 16, 17 NIRV

Preach the word. Be ready to serve God in good times and bad. Correct people’s mistakes. Warn them. Encourage them with words of hope. Be very patient as you do these things. Teach them carefully.

2 Timothy 4.2 NIRV

Be shepherds of God’s flock, the believers under your care. Watch over them, though not because you have to. Instead, do it because you want to. That’s what God wants you to do. Don’t do it because you want to get money in dishonest ways. Do it because you really want to serve.

Giving

Yep, we finally got there. You just knew we would.

We believe that our giving is meant to mirror the gift we’ve already received from God in Jesus Christ.

We believe that giving is far more than just money. It's our time, care, love, compassion... the list goes on and on. When Christians give of their lives to others, they reflect God's love for the whole world.

Good... but can you get back to the Money part?

Sure. Here's our answer.

We believe that we shouldn't give out of pressure, obligation, guilt, or to meet a fixed rule or percentage; but out of gratitude to, and love for, God.

We don’t give to get something in return. We give because we’re thankful for what we already have.

We believe giving should be a joyful and sincere act of love and thankfulness for what God has done for us through Jesus Christ.

We believe our generosity reflects God’s character and the work he is doing in our hearts, as he changes our priorities to become more like his.

You do well in everything else. You do well in faith and in speaking.

You do well in knowledge and in complete commitment.

And you do well in the love we have helped to start in you.

So make sure that you also do well in the grace of giving to others.

2 Corinthians 8.7 NIRV

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give.

You shouldn’t give if you don’t want to.

You shouldn’t give because you are forced to. God loves a cheerful giver.

Your gifts meet the needs of the Lord’s people. And that’s not all.

Your gifts also cause many people to thank God.

You have shown yourselves to be worthy by what you have given.

So other people will praise God because you obey him.

That proves that you really believe the good news about Christ.

2 Corinthians 9.7, 12-13 NIRV
